Terms & Conditions

Deposits

1a. Best (flexible) rate:

At the time of confirmation a non-refundable £100 deposit (per room per night) is required to assure the booking, unless the total amount is lower, in which case the full amount will be charged. Bookings made within 48 hours of arrival, full payment is taken at the time of the booking. We accept payments made in Pounds Sterling.

1b. Special Offers:

Full pre-payment is taken at the time of booking and is non-refundable and non-transferable – or as outherwise outlined with individual package and promotion.

1c. Meal arrangements:

If rates include dinner or an allowance towards dinner, there can be no refund for meals which are not taken by guests and lunch cannot be taken in place of dinner. Vouchers and credit will not be applied.  Where dining reservations are cancelled a £25ppn charge is applied.  If dining reservations are cancelled within 48 hours of the date of your reservation, the full dining charge may apply (£55ppn).

1d. Incidental charges:

Room rates do not include any incidental charges which you may incur during your stay (e.g. telephone calls from your room and a newspaper). These charges are to be settled on your departure.

 

2. Amendments / Cancellation

2a. Best (flexible) rate:

Change of Date
There is no charge if you wish to amend your booking, provided that you do so a minimum of 10 days prior to the arrival date, the deposit paid can be held until a new date is booked as long as the new date is no later than 6 months after the original date. Booking on the best (flexible) rate means that rates change therefore your new date may differ in price and charges may apply.

CANCELLATION
Deposits are non-refundable, irrespective of circumstances, personal reasons or any justification.  Your booking and commitment to this deposit sum and ‘non-refundable’ term is confirmed on payment. However, if cancelled up to 10 days in advance, the accommodation can be re-booked and the deposit will be transferred, on one occasion. The re-booking and arrival must be made within 6 months of the date of the original stay. When re-booking, the tariff applicable is at the time of the revised stay.  If cancelling less than 10 day prior to check-in, your booking cannot be changed.  When cancelling within 48 hours of the date of arrival, the full rate of your stay is due in full.  If this is a dining-inclusive or package rate, additional beds or extras etc, the full sum is due. Where separate dining reservations are cancelled, for non-package guests, this will be charges at £25ppn, or at the full rate if cancelling with less than 48 hours notice.  For third-party items such as floristry or hires, this will also be charged in-full, with any cancellations costs too.  Bookings and associated deposits for bank holiday stays, special offers and package deals (including two-night minimum dates, Christmas and New Year) are non-refundable and non-transferable.

WEDDINGS & EVENT DEPOSITS.  Bookings are confirmed upon receipt of deposit payment, as the the terms outlined in your event planning correspondence.  All deposits are non-refundable, irrespective of circumstances surrounding cancellation.  Simonstone Hall cannot be responsible for any losses arising from cancellation.

Opentable – non-resident dining.
This restaurant requires a credit card to secure this booking. All credit card information will be processed securely. No-shows or cancellations will be subject to a charge of £25 per person. Changes to guest count will be subject to a charge of £25 per person.

 

In the unlikely event that we have to change or cancel your reservation, we reserve the right to do so at any time without recourse.  However, you have the right to:

  • accept the changed arrangements as notified; or
  • make alternative arrangements yourself; or
  • cancel your reservation and receive a full refund of any monies, which you have paid to Simonstone Hall in respect of your reservation (please note that we shall not be liable for any sums which you have paid to any other persons in connection with your reservation). For the avoidance of doubt, we shall have no further liability to you for any changes or the cancellations of any stay with us.

Where the person(s) responsible for booking are unable to fulfil their booking, the reservation remains their liability, even if replacement guests are found.

Simonstone Hall cannot be held liable for transport, travel or local weather conditions, under any circumstances.

THESE TERMS ARE FIXED, IRRESPECTIVE OF PERSONAL CIRCUMSTANCES.

 

2b. Special Offers:

Reservations made on a special offer rate are non-refundable and non-transferable.

For any unforeseen circumstances you are advised to take out appropriate travel insurance.

3. VAT

VAT is included at the current prevailing rate unless otherwise stated.

4. Final Payment

Payment for the balance of the cost of your booking should be made prior to departure. Credit facilities are not available, unless prior arrangement has been made with the hotel.

5. Single Occupancy

Double rooms for single occupancy carry a supplement which is automatically included in the total room cost displayed when checking availability.

6. Children

Children 15 and under sharing a room with 2 full paying adults are charged a nightly supplement which includes the terms booked by the Adults. All children’s evening meals, when booked on a Bed and Breakfast rate, dinner may be taken from our children’s menu or from the main menu and charged accordingly. Children in their own rooms are charged at the full adult rate.

7. Dogs

Well behaved dogs are welcome in the properties. Dogs must not be left unattended in bedrooms. The hotel charges £35.00 for the first dog, £10 for the second, and an addition £10 per dog, per night thereafter, maximum of two dogs per room, and must be notified at the time of booking. Please call the hotel to confirm its full policy regarding dogs in public areas.  There are strict dog rules in place. NB. The availability of a ‘dog-friendly’ room does not indicate ability to book with a dog, due to occupancy of dogs in other rooms and areas, which are limited.

8. Arrival & Departure Times

Bedrooms are usually available for occupation from 3pm on the day of arrival and we request that they are vacated BY 10:30AM on the day of departure.

9. Special Requirements

Please advise the property of any special dietary needs, other requirements, or mobility issues you may have prior to arrival.

The hotel offers limited hotel (room) facilities for guests with impaired mobility or other particular requirements. Please check with the hotel in advance if the requirements can be met.

10. Car parking

Car parking is free. Parking at the hotel is at your own risk, this applies to the vehicle and its contents.

11. Special Requests

Whilst every effort is made to fulfil your requests, unfortunately we cannot guarantee these and failure to do so will not constitute a breach of contract.

12. About your Privacy

Simonstone Hall respects and values your privacy. We will never pass your contact details to third parties for the purposes of sending you additional offers and services.

We will only pass on information about you as an individual (as opposed to aggregate information) to third parties overseas contracted by ourselves to perform services requested by you.

13. Security

We are committed to ensuring that your information is secure. In order to prevent unauthorised access or disclosure we have put in place suitable physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online.

The web bookings system is a secure website which is protected by the latest 128-bit SSL encryption.

14. Damages, Fines & Charges

Any damage caused, accidental or otherwise, is chargeable and the resident guest and/or booking agent or party are responsible.  Charges will be incurred for both repair, or replacement, and the organisation, preparation and other works required to rectify.  Where damage is caused by an unknown party during an exclusive/group booking, the organising person(s), will retain full responsibilty.  Where damage prevents continues use of any rooms, amenities, facilities or accommodation, this is chargeable at the prevailing rate, with additional charges for loss of use and inconvenience, where required.
